Ashtanga Yoga

स्थिरसुखमासनम्
Sthira Sukham Āsanam (Yoga Sūtra II.46, Patañjali)

“Stability and ease are the qualities of asana.”

Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional yoga practice that weaves movement, breath, and concentration into a continuous, meditative flow. The method as it is known today was shaped by T. Krishnamacharya and his students, and was passed on and developed further by K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. From this lineage emerged the Mysore Style, which remains the traditional way of teaching Ashtanga Yoga.

The emphasis is not on achieving the perfect posture, but on cultivating a consistent practice and developing a deeper personal experience.

In the Mysore Style, each student moves through the sequence at their own pace while receiving individual guidance and support from the teacher.

The practice is introduced gradually and adapted to each person's needs, abilities, and stage of development. This creates the foundation for a sustainable and deeply personal yoga journey.

Practice & Study

The summer programs and courses will run as scheduled until mid-September 2026. After that, I will be spending some time in India to further my own practice and professional development.

Mysore Style

In the Mysore style, each person practices the sequence at their own pace and receives individual support.

The practice is built up gradually and adapted to the respective needs and possibilities. This creates space for personal and sustainable development of one's own practice.

Led class

In guided classes, the sequence is practiced together and guided by verbal instructions (Sanskrit Count).

The connection between movement and breath is just as central as learning the traditional sequence of postures.

Private lessons (private yoga)

Individual sessions offer space for individual concerns, questions and personal support from the practice.

They are suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners who wish to deepen certain aspects of their practice.

Practice & Study

The Mysore Style is a self-paced and individually guided approach to learning Ashtanga Yoga. Students practice the sequence independently while receiving one-on-one instruction within a group setting. This method allows the practice to develop naturally over time and supports a deeper understanding of both the physical and meditative aspects of yoga.

Led class (guided 1. series)

In led classes, the sequence is practiced together as a group and guided through traditional verbal cues and Sanskrit counting.

The focus is on synchronizing movement and breath while learning the traditional order and rhythm of the postures. Led classes help students develop confidence, consistency, and a deeper familiarity with the practice.

Private Yoga

Private sessions offer dedicated time for individual goals, questions, and personalized guidance.Whether you are completely new to yoga or an experienced practitioner seeking to deepen specific aspects of your practice, private lessons provide tailored support designed to meet your unique needs.
